HOERBIGER promotes young technical talent

Technology, team spirit, and enthusiasm for precision: The Infinity Racing Team from Kempten University visited HOERBIGER in Schongau, Germany, and presented its current Formula Student racing car, Silicia 3. The vehicle is equipped with high-precision components from HOERBIGER – a visible sign of the close cooperation between the company and Kempten University of Applied Sciences.

Throughout the season, HOERBIGER supported the team with technical expertise, knowledge sharing, and specially manufactured precision parts. This intensive exchange gave the students valuable insights into industrial manufacturing processes and enabled them to further improve the performance of their race car. The components manufactured by HOERBIGER contribute to the Silicia 3's top performance on the racetrack.

During their visit to Schongau, the students were given a tour of the HOERBIGER Drive Technology plant. This led to a lively exchange with employees from various divisions of the company—characterized by technical curiosity, mutual inspiration, and a shared passion for innovation.

A special highlight was the presentation of the Silicia 3 on the factory premises. Many employees took the opportunity to examine the race car up close and talk to the team about its technical development.

“We were very impressed by the team's enthusiasm and technical expertise,” says Stephanie Seitz, Talent Acquisition Manager at HOERBIGER. “Collaborations like this demonstrate how valuable the connection between industry and universities is—they promote innovation and motivate young talent to break new ground.”

The visit by the Infinity Racing Team highlighted how successful cooperation between science and industry can be when a shared passion for technology and progress comes together.
