HOERBIGER complements portfolio with strategic acquisition

Effective November 1, 2019, the HOERBIGER Group, Zug, Switzerland, will acquire the US manufacturer of rotating unions Deublin. Deublin is the world's largest manufacturer of rotating unions. Headquartered in Waukegan, Illinois, USA, the family-owned company has a global network of production plants and service locations.

Rotary unions are machine components that enable the transfer of a fluid or gas from stationary supply lines into a rotating machine element. For rotary transmission of electrical signals and power currents, Deublin offers slip ring assemblies.

In many applications, Deublin's products are performance-determining components. Deublin's customers include well-known industrial companies from a wide range of sectors, such as the machine tool industry, the oil and gas industry, semiconductor production and the renewable energy sector.

Deublin will become a new business division of the HOERBIGER Group and will remain an independent operating unit. "With HOERBIGER, we have found a new home that offers us promising opportunities. The HOERBIGER Group's long-term perspective with a focus on people and business success will allow us to grow and develop," said Ron Kelner, President and Chief Operating Officer of Deublin. "Deublin fits our strategy and culture. Together we have all the prerequisites for successful further development and stable growth," says Dr. J├╝rgen Zeschky, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of HOERBIGER Holding AG.
