The HOERBIGER HDS valve is suitable for high-pressure applications in the chemical, petrochemical and natural gas industries. Primary fields of use include hydrotreating, urea production, polyethylene production, and natural gas storage.
The valve is based on the advanced principle of double damping, thereby preventing overloading of the sealing element even in very demanding applications. It is used mainly in high-speed compressors with speeds up to 1200 rpm. The port design in the seat and guard has been optimized in terms of flow, incorporating the latest state of technology in gas dynamics.
Depending on the operating pressure (max. 300 bar) and temperature (up to 210 degrees Celsius or 410 degrees Fahrenheit), the valves are also available with low-inertia nonmetallic valve plates. The valve diameter ranges between 92 and 254 millimeters (3.62 and 10 inches) with a maximum lift of 2.0 millimeters (0.08 inch). With the HOERBIGER HydroCOM, stepless control is possible.
