In 2014, the Strategic Business Unit Compression Technology achieved sales of 610.3 million euros – an increase of 6.7 percent over the previous year’s sales of 572.0 million euros.

This result confirms that the Strategic Business Unit Compression Technology remains the strongest force in the HOERBIGER Group. Despite difficult general economic conditions, 2014 was the best fiscal year ever for the Business Unit.

The Strategic Business Unit Compression Technology forms the backbone of the HOERBIGER Group. It pursues the strategic objective of setting standards with performance-defining solutions for the engine and compressor industry.

An essential driver is the aim to render technology usable for the customer, support customers from development to use of a product, and deliver excellent performance through it all.

In its goal to provide new technologies for the benefit of the customer, the Strategic Business Unit Compression Technology relies on the effective and interdisciplinary international cooperation of its employees as well as the technical capabilities it has developed over the decades. The Strategic Business Unit Compression Technology is distinguished by its knowledge of customer needs, acquired over many years in the OEM and Service business, as well as the ability to fruitfully link this know-how of the market to technological expertise.

The worldwide network encompassing 12 production plants as well as approximately 90 service locations allows the Strategic Business Unit Compression Technology to optimally serve its customers around the globe.

Its organization into the Business Segments Compressor Solutions, Engine Solutions and Serial Compressors affords the OEM Division high efficiency in sales and distribution.

The know-how gathered from the development of innovative components and systems for OEM manufacturers forms the basis for high-quality services for compressor and engine operators. Conversely, the knowledge acquired in the end customer business and the capability to apply innovative solutions to customer problems are reflected in progressive and particularly efficient products. These assist OEM manufacturers with developing and offering even more powerful equipment.
