HOERBIGER Australia Pty Ltd (HIA) has been operating directly in Australia for over twenty years, as a subsidiary of HOERBIGER Vienna (Austria) our parent company that has been in operation since 1895. We’re part of the KT group (compression technology) whose annual turnover now exceeds AUD$1.0 billion. The Australian and New Zealand operations report directly to the Asian head office in Singapore.

The KT group manufactures over 80% of the Worlds valve requirements for compressors and we also hold a majority share of the sealing element business (Rings & Packings) worldwide both in the aftermarket with endusers and with compressor manufacturers.

Our Australasian operations currently employ 45 staff, with offices in NZL, NSW, Qld and Victoria with three fully equipped workshops in Melbourne, Auckland and Brisbane. In the process compressor market, including gas gathering, HOERBIGER are a key supplier to all major Compressor OEM’s and we hold more than a substantial market share of both the valve and R&P business.

The KT group specialises within the refinery, process gas, petro-chemical, gas gathering and chemical markets as a high level provider of both components and services including engineering. As specialists we ensure that our main focus is totally upon our key business and we don’t stray outside our comfort zone. Assuring our clients that they’re receiving first class service and products at all times.

Manufacturing and service facilities

We have a comprehensive manufacturing and compressor service facility in Melbourne (2000M/2) including full application engineering capability. From here we also export over AUD$4.0 million of compressor parts out into the Asian/Pacific region. In Queensland we also have a workshop service facility (260M/2) where we can service all process gas compressors and components Over 70% of our existing staff are fully qualified in an engineering discipline, ranging from tradesmen to professional engineers. There’s over 500 years of combined engineering experience right here within our own operations, and that’s also without us counting the other expertise we can call upon at anytime, from our other major centres of competence.

We’re fully ISO9001 approved as are all our major KT companies, our QA for overhaul and valve service works to very tight internal standards. Ensuring the highest quality from design to manufacture and this extends to subsequent service works both in the field and our workshops. Clients include: Esso LIP, Shell Geelong & Clyde, Caltex Lytton & Kurnell, Woodside Petroleum, Exxon Mobil Altona, Origin Energy, TRU energy etc. We’re certainly more than happy to provide prospective clients with suitable referees if required.
